The motto of Guilford Interfaith Volunteers is “Neighbor Helping Neighbor.”

Our mission is to promote the well-being of our home-bound, elderly or special needs neighbors
by providing them with food, friendship, and functional medical equipment.

Happy Holidays from the Meals on Wheels Crew!!

GIV received a check in the amount of $7,500 from the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal through its Vicariate Outreach Program.  This funding will help GIV continue is mission of “Neighbor helping neighbor”.

Since 1981, the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal has been able to assist countless people – regardless of race, religion, or color – across the Arch Diocese of Hartford with health care, education, housing, emergency expenses, and in numerous other areas. It is through the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal Vicariate Outreach Program and the generosity of its donors that the Appeal  is able to assist a wide array of community based charities through Hartford, New Haven and Litchfield Counties.

Guilford Rotary supports Meals on Wheels

Gary Drake & Carl Cooper present a $9,400 check to GIV Board President  Lisa Peterson and GIV Executive Director Christi Burton.

This check covered our deficit for the past fiscal year.  The funds stem from the success of Lobsterfest, which GIV helped to staff.  We are beyond grateful for their continued support.
