Guilford Food Bank (GFB) is an emergency food pantry formed in 1995. It is jointly managed by Guilford Interfaith Volunteers and the Town of Guilford’s Department of Social Services (GSS). The GFB is available to Guilford residents with pre-approval from Guilford Social Services (see link below). Questions regarding eligibility should be directed to Guilford Social Services at (203) 453-8009, Questions regarding volunteering, donations, and food drive events may be directed to GSS at (203)453-8009 or GIV at (203)453-8359.

How do I access the GFB?

The Food Bank is located at:
45 Stone House Lane, Guilford
(across from the Henry Whitfield State Museum)

Food Distribution
Distribution hours are now by appointment only. Please call Social Services between Monday at 9 AM and Friday at 10 AM, to sign up.

Fridays, 1 PM – 4:30 PM

Bags of non-perishable food are pre-packed according to household size. Perishable food, cleaning supplies, and toiletries are also available upon request.

Each summer, The Len Hubbard Community Garden donates plots that are tended to and harvested by community volunteers specifically to raise fresh vegetables and herbs for the Guilford residents making use of the GFB.
